Clayfulness Pottery Course (7 x 1 hours Sessions)
  • Clayfulness Pottery Course (7 x 1 hours Sessions)

Clayfulness pottery classes are an engaging and relaxing way for children to nurture their creativity while also developing mindfulness skills. Through the use of sculpting and handbuilding techniques, students are encouraged to work with the clay in a free and expressive manner. Self-expression is essential for emotional development, and the tactile and receptive nature of clay provides a unique opportunity for children to explore their creative potential in a grounding and relaxing way.  Clayfulness classes also incorporate contemplative and interactive activities that are designed to promote open awareness - a mindfulness skill, which can be beneficial in various areas of life, ranging from artistic expression to cognitive problem-solving.

The course fee includes glazing and kiln-firing, which give each student the opportunity to transform their clay creations into vibrant and durable pieces of ceramic art. Throughout the course, children will create a range of ceramic figurines that embody different character strengths such as the bravery of a lion, the wisdom of an owl, or the peacefulness of a zen cat. These tactile creations will serve as a tangible reminder of their own inner strength and potential, encouraging imaginative play and fostering continued growth and development.

The clayfulness course is open to children aged 7 years and above.  Please contact Bettina (0408284840 or bettina@wheelfulness.com.au) to enquire about available class times and spots prior to purchasing the course.
